Far Western University(FWU)was established in 2010 by the Act of the Parliament as a governmentfundednational university to function as a prime academic institution in thecountry interims of academic excellence, research-based education, communityengagement and partnership.
The central office ofthe university is located at Bhimdatta Municipality of Kanchanpur district,FarWest Province, Nepal. The strategic location of the University CentralCampus and its constituent campuses at the Far West Province gives an access tolocal people to higher education and provides an opportunity for the overalldevelopment of the region.
FWU has beenfulfilling its responsibility of making higher education accessible to thepeople of this region through its constituent campuses in the nine districts ofFar WestProvince.
